International Air Freight Shipping
Air freight service is often preferred by our clients who need to have their vehicles arrive at their overseas destination in 2-3 days as opposed to 2-3 weeks. Air Freight is also the choice of service for our clients shipping rare collector automobiles as well as armored vehicles.
Due to limited cargo space on an aircraft as compared to a Ro/Ro or container vessel, the cost to air freight an automobile is substantially higher than shipping by sea.
When shipping your vehicle via air freight, please note the following:
- Your vehicle must arrive at the airport of departure with less than 1/4 tank of gasoline in the fuel tank.
- The battery will be disconnected once the vehicle has been loaded onto the airline's pallet.
- Personal items are not permitted to be shipped inside your vehicle.
- Air cargo insurance, though not a requirement is strongly recommended when shipping your vehicle via air freight. Your domestic auto insurance will not cover a loss or damage to your vehicle while it is in transit to an overseas location. The liability of all all airlines is limited.
