Is the American market ready for the importing of a Chinese-built vehicle? The Chinese automakers think so.
It was revealed recently at the North American Auto Show, held in Detroit, that the Chinese-built "Geeley" will hit the U.S. market by the summer of 2008.
The "Geeley", which actually means lucky in Chinese, is a sedan type vehicle designed in Korea, Chinese-built and contains a Toyota-designed engine. The car wil be offered for less than $10,000.
The Chinese will ship their vehicles overseas to the U.S. and is hoping American's will find them very appealing.
